Consensus signals: when several callers agree

What it means when multiple independent callers post the same token, why consensus can be late, and how to use it as a filter instead of a trigger.

When several callers post the same token within a short window, it is tempting to treat it as confirmation. Sometimes it is. Often it is something else.

Independent or coordinated?

Callers who share sources, groups or paid promotions will post the same tokens. That is one opinion repeated, not several. The overlap matrix shows which callers habitually post the same tokens; agreement between callers who rarely overlap is worth more.

Consensus is often late

The third or fourth caller usually posts after the first move. If you buy on the fourth call, you are often buying from the people who bought the first.

Use it as a filter

A better approach is to use consensus to filter calls you were already watching: if a caller you follow posts a token and two callers with good copy-PnL also post it, that is a reason to look closer. Check the token on the live consensus feed, where each caller carries their copy-PnL badge.
